Am 05.05.14 konnte auf Grundlage einer Meldung in Ornitho.de bei einem Besuch der Schiersteiner Wasserwerke in der Umgebung von Wiesbaden im Rheingau ca. 50 km westlich vom Frankfurt Stadtmitte mindestens ein singender Drosselrohrsänger entdeckt werden.
