INTRODUCTION The main goal was to carry out the first vacation in post-Corona times. For this purpose, we were looking for a country that is rather relaxed when it comes to entering the country. Also in the foreground is to relax and to photograph the Rock Partridge or a few good eastern European Warblers and… Continue reading MONTENEGRO – a birding trip to the south-western Balkan in May

Buljarica Marsh with rare guest: Eurasian Thick-knee
We walk along a narrow pebble beach in the middle of Montenegro’s Adriatic Sea. We’ve seen a lot of birds here already. Really remarkable this time is not only a Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus), which stands on the coarse gravel directly at the waterline, but also a Eurasian Thick-knee (Burhinus oedicnemus), which we observe a… Continue reading Buljarica Marsh with rare guest: Eurasian Thick-knee
Aufregung in Möwenkolonie
Continue reading Aufregung in Möwenkolonie
Junge Zwergdommel an Linumer Teichen
Continue reading Junge Zwergdommel an Linumer Teichen

Bearded Tits south of Berlin
Although the capital of Germany, Berlin has a lot to offer in terms of nature, too. In addition to the natural richness this is a legacy of the division of Germany, which has prevented the city´s spread after the end of the 2nd World War like in no other city. This means, that even today… Continue reading Bearded Tits south of Berlin
Caspian Seashore & Volga delta in May
Bird richness on the northern shore of the Caspian Sea is amazing. Caspian Sea is counted the largest inland body of water in the world. A… Continue reading Caspian Seashore & Volga delta in May
Birding in the city of Bucharest – Vacaresti wetland
In the South-Western corner of the capital of Romania, near and alongside the Dâmboviţa River, one of the nature jewels of Bucharest can be found. Park the car on the sidewalk and quickly you can see the first Whiskered Tern already, which fly croaking from the river and disappear behind you. Often the bird is… Continue reading Birding in the city of Bucharest – Vacaresti wetland
